Fountain at the Conference Center
This fountain at the LDS Conference Center is just full of light and movement. This view of the water is almost a black and white rendition. The sun is coming in through the water and lighting the fringes and not able to penetrate the debth of the pulsing water.

Babies born early are still cute and lovable. You feel for them with all the tubes and sensors attached to them. This little boy was four weeks early and 4lbs 6oz.

Scared of the Rocks
The rocks were big and they went down very quickly. The little girl was petrified and did not want to move. The little boy climbed all over the rocks. This is a fun picture of emotions.

A Father's Memorial
This Mustang was painted and placed in Murray Park for a memorial of a father's son who was lost in the war. I was facinated with this car and took a bunch of pictures. The yellow is vibrant against the Red, White and Blue of the flags and the flag on the door with the soldier kneeling in prayer. The boots, inverted gun and helmet in the foreground represent the Fallen Soldier Memorial. (It is worth clicking on the photograph to enlarge it and see more of the detail, especially of the soldier praying on the door.)

It is a challenge to watch for the "fun" moments of the wedding and to be ready for them. This wedding was held in the backyard of the couple. It was a wonderful setting.

Jellyfish
These Jellyfish were at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California. I loved the colors and the looks of these dangerous creatures of the deep.

Child and the "r"
Learning to walk is fun and challenging. He had not been walking for long, but loved to do so. This "r" is at the Salt Lake City Library. I really enjoy his expression of pure joy and the colors and contrasts of the wall, tiles and the "r".

Bird of Paradise
This Bird of Paradise was "born" in Oakland, California at the Oakland Temple. I think this is a beautiful flower. It reminds me of the head of a Peacock.

Like Father, Like Son
My oldest son loves to fish. He would fish, I would photograph and his son would play in the water. For this picture, Dad was cleaning his line and preparing the hook. Son was playing in the dirt at the water's edge. He then leaned forward and created this caricature... Like Father, Like Son.

Couple in Garden at Temple Square
I love the garden between the Salt Lake Temple and its Annex. It is awesome. This couple was wonderful to work with.
Playing with Two Tennis Rackets
My grandson picked up both tennis rackets and played with them for a few minutes. He is cute trying to play with both of them.

Manti Temple at Dusk
I attended the "Manti Miracle Pagent" with the youth. While waiting for the show to begin, I took this photograph. I enjoy the coloring of the lights on the temple.

Angel Moroni on Oquirrh Mountain Temple
On June 14th a storm went through the valley and a lightning strike darkened the horn, arm and face of Moroni. This last Tuesday the LDS Church replaced this Angel Moroni with a new one. The Oquirrh Mountain Temple (South Jordan, Utah) will be dedicated at the end of the month and so the church replaced Moroni for a new version that has TWO lightning rods in him, one at the end of the trumpet and one out the top of his head.

State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah
This was photographed from Ensign Peak looking down the 20+ miles of State Street. The Capital building was still under construction. Also note that Franklin Covey Field (on 13th South - to the right in the photo) is lit up.

Thomas, the Cat
Thomas was my Mom's big cat. He loved to sit on the wooden porch and look out into the field behind the house.

Fall Colors
Usually when you see the colors of fall, you back up and get all the colors from all the trees. I love this photograph because all the fall colors are throughout this one leaf.

I Married Julia!!
We had finished photographing the couple as they came out of the Temple after their wedding. I had moved to the front of the Temple to wait for the couple and the group to start taking the group pictures at the Temple. As the couple was walking towards me (with two of the Bride's little sisters) the Groom just flung out his arms and leg in the excitement of having married such a beautiful, intelligent woman.
Butterfly
This butterfly was flitting from point to point on this huge rock up in one of the canyons above Salt Lake City. I love this photograph.

One Day Old...isn't he cute?!
My daughter-in-law, Holly, compiled these three photos that I took of my new grandson. She really does good work.

Jordan River Temple
This morning I photographed the Jordan River Temple. I liked the Temple, moon and flag just like in this photograph. I had to photoshop the moon into the picture because it is too bright for the rest of the image. I stayed true to the physical relationship between them. Oh, and yes the moon was photographed this morning as well.

First post for the Living Love Photos blog site
I love photography. This blog is to be a showcase of some of my photography. I will attempt to put a photo a day onto the site.
Why Living Love Photos?
One of the slogans I have put on the back of my business cards is "Photography: for the Love of it." I love photography. I love showing living things: people, plants, the earth, and buildings. Yes, buildings are alive to me. They have personalities, textures and shadows. They help mankind to live like they could not without them. In short, I love to photograph anything that I can that is proper and moral.
