Salt Lake Temple

The inspiring, towering Salt Lake Temple. Moroni, with his horn, declaring to all the nations that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth.

Manti Temple

The magistry of the Manti Temple. I thought the contrasts between the shadowed and sun-lit portions of the temple were fun to see.

As I walked around the Draper Temple I noticed the sprinklers that were watering the lawn in the front of the temple. The reflection of the temple on the sidewalk is beautiful!

The Oakland Temple is a majestic edifice. It has beautiful spires with awesome plants surrounding it. This was my temple for about five years.

The Manti Temple has that "old world" flavor to me. It offers so many colors and hues.

Jordan River Temple

The Jordan River Temple is special to me. My sister, Tina, was married there. This has been my assigned temple for much of my adult life. The moon was full and quite beautiful the morning that I took this photograph.

I attended the "Manti Miracle Pagent" with the youth. While waiting for the show to begin, I took this photograph. I enjoy the coloring of the lights on the temple.

Angel Moroni on Oquirrh Mountain Temple

On June 14th a storm went through the valley and a lightning strike darkened the horn, arm and face of Moroni. This last Tuesday the LDS Church replaced this Angel Moroni with a new one. The Oquirrh Mountain Temple (South Jordan, Utah) will be dedicated at the end of the month and so the church replaced Moroni for a new version that has TWO lightning rods in him, one at the end of the trumpet and one out the top of his head.

State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah

This was photographed from Ensign Peak looking down the 20+ miles of State Street. The Capital building was still under construction. Also note that Franklin Covey Field (on 13th South - to the right in the photo) is lit up.

Jordan River Temple

This morning I photographed the Jordan River Temple. I liked the Temple, moon and flag just like in this photograph. I had to photoshop the moon into the picture because it is too bright for the rest of the image. I stayed true to the physical relationship between them. Oh, and yes the moon was photographed this morning as well.

The Majestic Oquirrh Mountain Temple

I love the beauty of this Temple. The trees and the shrubs are new but are beginning to fill in.

I woke up this morning at about 5:00 and drove to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and photographed it as the sun came up. I really enjoyed taking the photograph and watching the beauty of God's hand.

Why Living Love Photos?

One of the slogans I have put on the back of my business cards is "Photography: for the Love of it." I love photography. I love showing living things: people, plants, the earth, and buildings. Yes, buildings are alive to me. They have personalities, textures and shadows. They help mankind to live like they could not without them. In short, I love to photograph anything that I can that is proper and moral.
